Vintage Carnelian 'D' Signet Ring 9 Carat gold; Circa 1947

A rather handsome vintage signet ring, dating to 1947. This striking post war ring has been created in warm 9 carat gold and feels satisfying on the hand. 

With a substantial weight of 6.5 grams, the ring has a weighty feel on the hand. At its centre sits a generous oval carnelian, its rich warm red tone beautifully complemented by the glow of the gold.

The carnelian has been hand engraved with a single letter ‘D’, carved in a simple flowing font. There is something particularly appealing about the understated nature of the engraving; personal without being overly elaborate.

A classic, weighty and beautifully wearable signet. Simple in design, but with plenty of character.
