A charming early to mid Victorian ring created in luxurious 18 carat gold, featuring beautiful split shoulders designed with wire loop detailing. This elegant construction frames the centrepiece: a rare octagonal sardonyx tablet, finely carved with the name “Emily.”
The sardonyx, beloved in the 19th century for its contrasting layers, displays crisp banding and a wonderfully smooth polish. Its personalised intaglio carving adds both sentiment and rarity, making this ring a touching relic of Victorian devotion and identity.
The gold bezel setting holds the stone securely while complementing its unusual shape, and the overall design sits gracefully on the finger, balancing delicacy with a sense of quiet importance.
An evocative piece of antique jewellery, perfect for collectors of named intaglios, early Victorian gold work, or anyone who appreciates jewellery with personal history and character.
