Softened with love and time, this 1940‘s signet ring is a gorgeous jewel of buttery gold! This is a truly timeless piece of jewellery with a poignant message within.
Dating to the second World War, the surface of this ring has worn away crisp details to leave a wonderful patina of wear. We adore the traces left in its swirls and curves. With a blank panel this looks stunning as it is, or it could be personalised!
Within in signet ring we have a lovely simple and sentimental message, an engraving simply reading ‘Babs to Vernon 3.6.44‘. Looking at the year this was made it is entirely possible this was a ring worn by a someone leaving home to go to war, a message within reminding of what they‘re fighting for, hoping to return to.
Created from 9 carat gold means that its very durable and so ideal for lots of enjoyment and wear. Whilst the rich gold colouring shows the luxurious and quality of this jewel. This is a very special and truly timeless beauty
