A bold and distinguished Victorian signet ring. Created in rich 18 carat buttery gold and set with a striking shield shaped bloodstone. The intaglio is finely carved with the image of a lion; a timeless emblem of courage, strength, and nobility.
The ring has a heavy, substantial profile, perfectly balanced to the broad width of the stone. The shoulders flow smoothly from the mount, tapering slightly toward the back of the band for comfort. The bloodstone’s deep green surface, flecked with subtle red, is beautifully complemented by the warmth of the gold, creating a piece that feels powerful and refined.
Rings of this quality were often commissioned as personal heraldic pieces . Designed to endure for generations this example embodies all the craftsmanship and weight one would expect from the finest Victorian jewellers.
