Antique Monogram 'G' Signet Ring in 18 Carat Gold

A wonderfully satisfying and substantial signet ring, rich in presence and personal history.

Created in 18 carat gold, the ring has a classic, timeless signet profile with a reassuring weight on the hand. The front panel has been engraved with a single Gothic letter 'G'. Bold yet beautifully refined, the lettering gives the piece a strong personal touch.

Inside the band lies a personal inscription 'Douai 21st Dec 19 Arras'. Likely referencing a significant moment in time. Arras being a historic town in France, particularly significant during the First World War which has just ended when this piece was dedicated. The date and wording suggest this ring may have marked a meaningful adding a poignant layer of narrative to the piece.
